Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American boy group
that is specialized in the field of pop. It was formed in 2009. The group is
made up of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega.
In 2009, they signed with Nick Records before moving to Columbia Records. The
group starred in the television series on Nickelodeon with the same name, Big
Time Rush. The show ran from November 28, 2009, to July 25, 2013. The pilot
episode showcased the group's first promo single, "Big Time Rush". The
group recorded three albums: BTR in 2010 and Elevate in 2011 as well as
24/Seven 2013. In 2014, the group stopped touring for an indefinite period that
ran until 2021. The band resumed live shows in the studio and came out with
"Call It Like It's What It's Like". Nickelodeon has signed Big Time
Rush a record deal in 2009 as they were simultaneously airing the television
series Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon later partnered with Columbia/Epic Label
Group in order to create the series and to provide original music. The series'
debut single, "Big Time Rush" was released on November 29 the 29th of
November, 2009. The announcement was made by Nickelodeon in November 2009, the
show was first broadcast for the time in the US. The song was later released
internationally. It premiered during a special preview of the series. It is
currently the show's theme. Promo singles were also released by the series,
which included "City is Ours" (with Big Time Rush) and "Any Kind
of Guy". Big Time Rush also covered the Play song called "Famous".
The song first came out to iTunes on June 29th the 29th of June, 2010. After
the series' premiere the second song, "Halfway There", went live on
iTunes on April 27 in 2010. The track quickly became the first single to chart
on Billboard Hot 100. Due to sales on digital platforms, it reached number 93.
The second single by Big Time Rush, "Till You Forget About You" was
released on September 21, 2010. The purpose of the release was to announce
their debut album. On October 11, 2010 the album, dubbed BTR it was released to
the general public. The album reached number 3 on Billboard 200 and sold 67,000
copies within its first seven days.
